Join us on Saturday, July 28, at The Grille at Sporting Clays for our first Whiskey & Cigar Dinner. Cocktail hour is at 6 p.m. with stationed dinner at 7 p.m. Sample an assortment of whiskey and Scotch and learn how to perfect pair your drink with a cigar. The first 50 guests of our Whiskey & Cigar Dinner will be given a Padron 1926 Cigar. The Cigar Humidor will also be on hand for cigar and accessory purchases. Whiskey & Cigar Stationed Dinner

Carving Station

  • – Herb Roasted Sirloin accompanied with a spicy pepper whiskey sauce, house-made BBQ or creamy smoked horseradish and slider buns

Grilled Station

  • – Smoked Pheasant Breast

  • – Roasted Red Skin Potatoes in a Sage Brown Butter
  • – Green Beans with Bacon

Salad Station

  • – Harvest Blend and Romaine Lettuce with heirloom grape tomatoes, red onion, black beans and more. Choose one of our signature vinaigrette dressings to top your salad: Bacardi Tangerine, Bacardi Torched Cherry, Creamy Smoked Red Onion, Bird Dog Blackberry

Aberlour 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch

From the heart of Speyside, Aberlour 12 Year Old is Double Cask matured concurrently in American oak barrels and Sherry butts for a minimum of 12 years in each, absorbing the deep flavors of rich spiciness and soft, sweet vanilla from the different woods. When each butt and barrel finally come to their perfect peak of maturation, they are subtly married together to create a soft and rounded single malt with fruity notes of red apple, a fine sherried character, balanced with rich chocolate, toffee, cinnamon and ginger spiciness.

Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve Single Malt Scotch

Founder’s Reserve is considered the smoothest expression of The Glenlivet, with intense, creamy smoothness from maturation in first-fill American oak casks. A modern classic, in tribute to George Smith who created the original single malt that set the standard for taste in 1824. Smooth Ambler Old Scout American Whiskey

Old Scout American Whiskey is a union of 2 whiskies distilled from classic bourbon mash bills. One is aged in new oak barrels and the other matures in rejuvenated, re-charred bourbon casks. While this unique aging excuses the marriage from being called bourbon, it shares all of the characteristics and drinkability you would expect from a whiskey on the brink of being one.

Smooth Ambler Contradiction

At Smooth Ambler, after we began merchant bottling the whiskey we call Old Scout, it occurred to us that at some point it may be fun and interesting to blend a little of the delicious bourbon we source with the smooth and sweet wheated bourbon we distill here in West Virginia. With that notion in mind, Contradiction was born; a blend of whiskey we make with whiskey we do not. Contradiction is non-chill filtered ad is full-bodied, with notes of dried fruit and butter rum, and has the end result of tasting like a four-grain bourbon.

Lot 40 Rye

Lot 40 Rye is a legendary Canadian rye whiskey that is produced in a copper pot still. In the early 2000’s, Lot 40 Rye was discontinued, which caused quite a stir among whiskey enthusiasts who considered it one of the best Canadian whiskies out there. Luckily in 2012 this north-of -the-border dram was relaunched! Lot 40 Rye is a completely delicious rye that captures the herbal, fruity, and spicy notes of the grain all at once.
