Seven Springs GES Downhill Race 2009

 Seven Springs Mountain Resort will host the third annual Gravity East Downhill Series, June 12 - 14, 2009! As the premier gravity series in the United States, the GES event at Seven Springs will be the third stop on a circuit of 11 top downhill courses on the East Coast.

A USA Cycling sanctioned event, you must have a USA Cycling license to participate.  Category 2 and 3 riders only can purchase a one-day license on-site for $10.  Category 1 and pro riders must have an annual license.   Pros and Category 1 riders will race on E.C. with a new section that has been added at the bottom.  Categories 2 and 3 will race on Upper E.C. transferring over to lower 007.

There will be onsite registration Friday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday morning from 8 to 11 a.m.  You cannot register on race day.


A Mad March Racing Pre-Race Clinic will be held 8 - 10 a.m., Sat., June 13. Mad March Racing, founded in 1998 by Shaums March, works diligently to provide the best hands-on mountain biking instruction available. Clinics feature detailed instruction by certified personable, professional riders, delivering personalized bike fit with secrets passed down from some of the top pro riders and mechanics in the industry. Participants for this clinic must pre-register online here.

A special overnight lodging rate of $95 per room, max of two persons, for riders is available Saturday, June 13. Please call (866) 437-1300 to make your reservations.   If you would like to camp, the closest campground is Laurel Hill State Park.
