Seven Springs GES Downhill Race 2010

Seven Springs Mountain Resort will host the fourth annual Gravity East Downhill Series, June 12 - 13, 2010! As the premier gravity series in the United States, the GES event at Seven Springs will be the second stop on a circuit of eight top downhill courses on the East Coast. With a pro purse of $1,000, you won't want to miss this race!
This event is a USA Cycling sanctioned event. You must have a USA Cycling license to participate. Category 2 and 3 riders can only purchase a one-day license on-site for $10. One-day USAC licenses will be not be tracked in points standings for the series. Category 1 and Pro riders must have an annual license.

Saturday, June 12
Mad March Racing Pre-Race Clinic - 8 to 10 a.m. (course closed unless attending clinic)
Racer Registration and Packet Pickup - 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Foggy Goggle in the Ski Lodge)
Practice (all categories) - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (chairlift open)
Sunday, June 13
Racer Registration and Packet Pickup - 8 to 10:30 a.m. (Foggy Goggle in the Ski Lodge)
Practice - 8 to 10 a.m. (chairlift open)
Start List Posted - 11 a.m. (Foggy Goggle)
Chairlift closes to clear course - 10:45 a.m.
Charlift starts - 11 a.m.
Race begins - 11:15 a.m.
Awards - We will announce an approximate time at the beginning of the race once we know the number of riders.
The course is open to spectators. If you'd like to ride the chairlift, tickets are $5 and available in the Adventure Center in the Skier Services Building.
If you are participating in this event, we are offering a special lodging rate of $99 plus tax per room on Friday and Saturday, June 11 and 12, 2010.
The bike park will be closed to the public on Saturday and Sunday during this event. Only registered riders will have trail access. The course will be open Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
