 HELPFUL HOLE-BY-HOLE HINTS

  1. Enjoy the fantastic view. This fairway kicks right. Your second shot will play one club less than yardage. The lake on the left of the green will catch extremely errant shots. The driving range is a lateral hazard, drop your ball at the point of entry and take one penalty stroke.
  2. Straight away par four. Fairway bunker on the left will come into play second shot to an extremely sloped green, right to left. Keep your ball below the hole.
  3. Don't take this little par three for granted A little finesse shot to the middle of the green is good play. Don't be too long or too short!
  4. Extremely sloped fairway, left to right. Keep your ball left. Downhill second shot to the pin. Go for the middle of the green. Any ball on the green is successful. The right side of the hole is played as a lateral hazard, drop your ball at the point of entry and take one penalty stroke.
  5. Long uphill par five with a sharp left dogleg. Definitely a three shot hole to get to the green. Play will be driver, then a long iron to the top of the hill will leave a short to mid iron to the small protected green. Play this hole smart, as out of bounds borders the entire right side.
  6. Short downhill par three Short to mid iron, depending on wind conditions, will put you in the middle of the green for a good birdie opportunity.
  7. Another long three shot par five with a dogleg. Not quite as demanding as Hole 5, but a premium tee shot is necessary with out of bounds on the right. Second shot straight ahead or left center will leave an easy pitch to the green. The driving range is a lateral hazard, drop your ball at the point of entry and take one penalty stroke. Free drop at the point of entry when your ball enters the parking lot.
  8. Here's a good scoring opportunity. A middle length par four with a wide landing area off the tee shot. Watch those bunkers on the left and out of bounds right along the length of the hole. Play a mid to short iron to the middle of the flat green to set up a birdie putt.
  9. An uphill trek to make the turn. Fairway will kick the ball to the left. Long hitters watch out for the fairway bunker. Hit a mid iron to the elevated green. Free drop at the point of entry when your ball enters the parking lot. At the turn, players stopping at the turn will relinquish their position on the course and must request permission from the head professional or his designated starter to restart.
  10. Another fantastic view! Enjoy it as you tee off on the downhill par four. Fairway bunkers on the right will come into play, but the fairway directs ball to the left. Interesting approach shot with the tree coming into play at the right. This is a good start to the plush back nine.
  11. The start of the "Amen Corner" of Seven Springs. This tough par three is straight forward, what you see is what you get. The only difference is the downhill makes it play a little shorter, so think about that instead of thinking about the water and sand.
  12. Tough driving hole, whatever you can hit straight for 220 yards, hit it. This will put you at the top of the hill, right at the turn of this dogleg left. Although the second shot plays one club shorter, this green needs to be hit with a high shot, and you don't want to go right or over.
  13. You've just made it through Seven Springs' version of "Amen Corner" Here's a nice little dogleg right par four, a slicer's dream. A nicely faded drive up the hill will leave you with a short iron to the hour glass shaped green. Definitely a good birdie opportunity.
  14. "Grip it and rip it!" Don't be fooled by the yardage on the scorecard. A drive anywhere on the fairway will set up a very important second shot. Due to the uphill lie, choose at least one club, sometimes two clubs more. A par here is like a birdie.
  15. This mid-length par three will play one club shorter than the yardage, going down the hill. Pay attention to wind direction as you hit into this huge green. You don't have to leave yourself with an 80 foot birdie putt, because of the left to right slope of the green.
  16. "Tee it high and let it fly!" A good scoring hole. This par five can be reached in two with the second shot hugging the trees on the left. A slight dogleg left. The second shot will be blind and downhill. Over the green is out of bounds. Take a safe score to prepare yourself for the next hole.
  17. Although two handicap, this long par four is the most difficult hole on the course.  A good drive favoring the middle left of the fairway will still require a long iron or a fairway wood to reach the protected green. As if it isn't challenging enough, the right side is protected by out of bounds. No one's seen an eagle on this hole.
  18. A pretty finishing hole, this par four will require a strong drive to get "over the hump". Make sure you club down to hit your second shot to this two-tiered green. Don't be afraid to go over.
