Wine & Food Seminars

Saturday, August 14 and Sunday, August 15
12 p.m. – Wine and Cheese: A Dynamic  Duo
Giant Eagle and the Pennsylvania Winery Association team up to offer pairing tips on two favorites – wine and cheese!  The wines of Winery at Wilcox are paired with a variety of memorable cheeses offered by Giant Eagle.  The seminar will be presented by Jamie Williams of the Winery at Wilcox and Patty Solomon of Giant Eagle.
 
Saturday, August 14 and Sunday, August 15
2 p.m. – The Essentials of Wine Tasting
A fun and interactive seminar that introduces the wine enthusiasts to sampling and selecting wine.  The seminar will be presented by John Kramb of Adams County Winery and Carl Helrich of Allegro Vineyards.
 
Saturday, August 14
3:30 p.m. - The Great Pennsylvania Wine Toast
The Pennsylvania Winery Association will host the Great Pennsylvania Wine Toast in the Ski Lodge.  We will be a part of more than 60 wineries in the state looking to defeat the Guinness World Record that was set in 2009 by 400 pubs in the United Kingdom.
 
Sunday, August 15
3 p.m. - Pennsylvania and Wines of the World
Carl Helrich of Allegro Vineyards will discuss wines from around the world - especially Pennsylvania.  Enjoy a blind tasting of wines to better understand where Pennsylvania stands in the world of wine.
