Seven Springs Snowsports School offers numerous specialty programs to help improve your skiing techniques and bolster camaraderie with your fellow skiers.

NASTAR Program

NASTAR, an acronym for National Standard Race, is the largest recreational ski and snowboard race program in the world. It allows ski or snowboard racers of all ages and abilities, through a scoring system, a way to compare themselves with one another and with the national champion, regardless of when and where they race. This program is only available when the NASTAR course is open.

55+ Crew

Open to skiers ages 55 and up who are at least intermediate skiers and are looking to fine tune their ski skills. This program will not be held during holiday periods.

Premier Ski Program (PSP) by Steve Burns

Registration: 9 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2012, and Sunday, February 5, 2012, in the Ski Lodge

The Premier Ski Programs by Steve Burns will focus on learning to ski through the direct parallel method, learning to be a ski instructor, skill advancement, bump and run, telemark skiing and snowboarding. Click here for program information, lesson dates and a registration form.

Sunday Adult Ski Programs

These programs are designed for skiers who want to improve their skills. Every session is taught by an instructor who has an in-depth knowledge of the lesson's topic. Each program is one hour and 45 minutes in length and dedicated to the finer points of each topic. You are welcome to enroll in all of the programs or select the lesson that is most of most interest to you.

Snowsports Merit Badge Program

The Snowsports Merit Badge program is a five week lesson plan that prepares scouts for the exam which is held on the fifth week. The program is taught by members of the Seven Springs Snowsports School. Every instructor is a certified member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America. The exam is conducted under the supervision of several Instructors who are also registered Snowsports Merit Badge counselors.

The program will be divided up into groups of 8 to 10 students according to ability. The Snowsports Merit Badge will only be offered in two disciplines: Downhill (Alpine) Skiing and Snowboarding.

This program is open to all registered Boy Scouts and Leaders.

Classes are held January 8, 22 and 29, 2012 and February 5 and 12, 2012.

Check-in is at 12 p.m. each day with lessons beginning at 1 p.m. Each lesson is approximately one-hour and 45minutes in length.

Mountain Adventure Team

This program is available to all mountain skiers and snowboarders ranging from the age 8 to 15 who want to improve their techniques and learn to handle all types of conditions and terrain.

Tele Friday Teaser

Tele Friday Teaser lessons are available to individuals who are interested in learning how to telemark ski or those who need a refresher lesson. Tele Friday Teaser lessons are offered every Friday beginning January 6, 2012, until the end of the '11-'12 ski season.

Tele Friday Teaser lessons include:

• Ski/board lift ticket valid until 7 p.m.
• Telemark group lesson
• Telemark Garmont Rental Equipment

Over The Hill Gang

Join the members of the Seven Springs Over The Hill Gang for day of fun on the mountain! This program is for skiers age 55 and up and who are not a member of the National Over The Hill Gang.

Over The Hill Gang Members Receive:

• Half-price day lift ticket
• Free hot chocolate
