The sporting clays course and lodge will be closed on Sunday, August 22, 2010 for the Absolut Blast.
What is sporting clays? Patience. Precision. But mostly exhilaration! Often times described as “golf with a shotgun,” sporting clays is more difficult than trap or skeet shooting. Unlike trap and skeet, sporting clays targets are thrown in a great variety of trajectories, angles, speeds, elevations and distances, which simulates actual hunting conditions.
N.S.C.A. Level III Instructor, Mike Mohr meticulously designed two challenging courses and a sub-gauge course that took advantage of the natural beauty of the surrounding Laurel Highlands. Also available is the regulation five-stand, which is an enclosed, heated facility where you can shoot during inclement weather and at night.
Within the beautiful 7,000 sq. foot lodge, you will find an exquisite dining room, full-service bar, professional retail shop and locker room accommodations. Seven Springs Sporting Clays is the only facility in the world to offer Krieghoff shotgun rentals.
Seven Springs' sporting clays course is open year-round. The course is open 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Thursday and 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Friday - Sunday, weather permitting. The grille is open 11 a.m. - 8 p.m., Sunday - Thursday and 11 a.m. - 9 p.m., Friday - Saturday. Hours are subject to change.
