Q&A with David Lundie

Meet David! David has been on the Seven Springs Team since 2001, when he started in the Slopeside as bushelp. He transferred to Helen's in 2006 and quickly rose through the ranks to manager thanks to his great personality and love for great food and fine wine. With Valentine's Day around the corner, David recommends a great bottle of wine to celebrate the holiday and is available for suggestions and tips!

Do you have any hidden talents? Like can you speak Mandarin Chinese or breathe fire?

I am an outstanding card player. I even won a seat to play in the 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event, which was televised on ESPN.

What is your favorite item on the Helen’s menu?

My perfect Helen’s meal would be Oysters Rockefeller with a glass of Riesling, Helen’s Favorite Salad, and then the Jamison Farms Lamb with a glass of Petite Sirah. And a snifter of Grand Marnier for dessert!

If you could go on a roadtrip with anyone, alive or dead, who would it be and why?

Las Vegas to Los Angeles to Melbourne to Macau to Cannes to London with Phil Ivey teaching me how to play poker and bankrolling me, too!

What’s the secret to a good life?

Being able to do what you want, when you want and not let other people’s opinions influence you too much.
