Q&A with Ryan Dunnmeyer

Ryan has been a fishing guide here at Seven Springs for two years. He guides anglers around the property, gives casting lessons and helps with fly-tying demonstrations. Ryan graduated from Edinboro University with a degree in biology. While in college, he worked as a steelhead guide. Ryan also spent some time wrestling alligators!

When you were five years old, what did you want to be?

I wanted to work with reptiles in a zoo or on an island.

What is the number one thing on your Bucket List?

I want to land a 100 pound tarpon on a fly rod.

Chevy

If you were a super hero, what would your powers be?

I would fly and be invisible.

What was your favorite toy as a kid?

My fishing rods.

What was the biggest fish you’ve ever caught?

Either a 40 pound tarpon in the Keys, or a 50 pound king salmon in Lake Michigan.
