These network TV appearances brought Chuck national recognition. His music is a special blend of mellow folk rock ... a mixture of country and festive upbeat sounds of the islands. In live solo appearances, Chuck plays a 12-string acoustical guitar, which provides a percussive sound with rich harmonic overtones.
A talented performer and song writer, the introspective Chuck Cantalamessa is a native of Uniontown, Pennsylvania. He performed with local bands during his high school days, but initially chose a business career over music. For over ten years, The Balloonatic Fringe of Pittsburgh, PA has been twisting the line with their own special style and flair. Stop by and be amazed as they take simple tubes of latex and use them to create the most wonderous of sculptures that you can take home with you or play with during the day. Whether it’s something small like a Ladybug, something to wear like a Jet Pack, or something fun like a Bow and Arrow that really shoots, The Balloonatic Fringe is sure to amaze and astound. They have taken the simple skill of twisting balloons and made it into an entertaining art form, often telling tales or cracking wise while they work creating one of their signature balloon sculptures. Of course, you can always try to stump them by requesting something out of your own imagination. Just be warned, given enough time and enough latex, they can create anything including a One Eyed, One Horned, Flying Purple People Eater! |

Sean K Miller, The Magician in The Corner
Saturday and Sunday | Throughout the festival
Sean K Miller began studying magic at a young age and after having learned the rules and what was expected of him, he set out to break those rules and present the unexpected. He does this by interweaving other art forms, such as storytelling, with magic. You’ll enjoy his tale of Sam the Bellhop from days gone by and never notice until the very end that he has just worked his way through an entire deck of cards. Not only that, but he can take an ordinary dinner fork and put more twists and turns into it than any road in Pennsylvania has a right to have. Additionally, he has been known to recite poetry while turning a simple cocktail napkin into a rose right before your very eyes. Catch him as he roams around the grounds and you’re sure to be amazed. |
