Seven Springs hosted four glorious weekends of Autumnfest and you really should have been there for at least one! The leaves have gone from just sun kissed to fall’s brilliance and you could see it all from the scenic chairlift ride!
The Zany Umbrella Circus thrilled the crowds and the strolling magician surprised more than a few people with his magic. There was musical entertainment of every variety, good food, and lots of crafts for those who started their holiday shopping early.
For the children, the large arts and crafts tent was the place to be with games and activities that kept them busy throughout the weekend. The kids all had fun dredging for gold and gems, riding the Alpine Slide, jumping on the Eurobungy or painting their own ceramic piece.
Unprecedented calories were consumed at the traditional Bavarian-style buffet, which served up German potato pancakes, sauerbraten, caraway noodles, baked corn custard, black forest cake and much more! Over at the Baker’s Pantry and Gingerbread Dreams freshly prepared candies, breads, desserts, pastries and pasta flew off the shelves.
Despite the rain and chilly weather the weekend of October 17 and 18, the Seven Springs team pulled off what might have seemed impossible – holding a major outdoor festival indoors! The team rallied together upon seeing that weekend’s weather forecast and turned what might have been a washed out weekend into a weekend of fun.
Autumnfest is a wonderful opportunity for people to experience the grandeur of the changing of the seasons while enjoying the various festivities offered at Seven Springs. Autumnfest returns next year October 2 – 3, 9-10, 16-17 and 23-24!
