Jeff “Jb” Brier, Snowsports School Director, comes to us with a host of snowsports experience and is ready to work with the dedicated group of Snow Pros at Seven Springs this winter.
Jeff "Jb" Brier was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania and spent his youth skiing, and eventually snowboarding, at Seven Springs and Hidden Valley resorts. Brier’s teaching career began at Seven Springs in 1996 and continued at resorts across the country including Killington, VT; Keystone, CO; and most recently he worked as a Staff Trainer at Breckenridge Ski & Ride School in Breckenridge, CO, before he returned to his home mountain in 2015 to take over as the Snowsports School Director at Seven Springs Mountain Resort.
“Snowsports and being a mountain athlete are a huge part of who I am,” said Brier. “I live the mountain lifestyle everyday and it’s so fulfilling to share that enthusiasm and experience with people."
“Western Pennsylvania is where I started as a kid cross country skiing at the local state parks. I grew up alpine skiing here at Seven Springs and later learned to snowboard and telemark ski here as well. After living in the mountains of Colorado for several years, I’m honored to return and share my experience and skills with the families who visit the resort where it all began for me.”
In 2013, Brier won first place in the USASA National Boardercross Championships in the Legend Division after qualifying for the competition in the local USASA Appalachian Series.
Certified as a Level III AASI and Level I PSIA Snow Pro, Jb has served as a Central Division Examiner, AASI National Team candidate and a PSIA-AASI National Task Force Member. Brier is also an AASI Certified Level I Freestyle Specialist and NSCA Certified Personal Trainer.
