What’s New

SNOWMAKING IMPROVEMENTS

66 HKD Impulse R-5 tower snowguns and 6 HKD R-5 Viper snowguns are being added to Wagner and Gunnar slopes, which use a reduced amount of compressed air and allow the snowmaking team to tailor output to adapt the system to varying weather conditions.

The snowmaking stations on Gunnar Slope, Yodeler Trail and Lost Girl Trail are being converted to a high-pressure system. The increased water pressure will significantly increase performance, generating more snow of better quality.

A 900-foot string of nine snowmaking towers has been added to expand the size of North Park, which has been redesigned into a boardercross-style freestyle area, full of small and medium features, bank turns and transition.

NIGHT TICKET

A 4-9 p.m. night session is available this year, Sundays-Thursdays, excluding holidays.

NEW RENTAL EQUIPMENT

The Seven Springs Rental Center will offer a brand new fleet of Rossignol children’s skis and boots and Burton snowboards and boots this winter.

NEW SNOWSPORTS SCHOOL DIRECTOR

Jamie Forys will lead the Seven Springs Snowsports School for the 2017-2018 season. A skier for 38 years and a snowboarder for 23 years, Forys is a certified Level 2 AASI instructor and a Level 1 USSA Coach and has taught skiing and snowboarding for 20 years.

“There is nothing better than knowing you have something fun to do when it is snowing!” said Forys. “Working in the Snowsports School has not only given me incredible skills, but lifelong friendships and a camaraderie that I look forward to each season. I hope to bring the customers and new staff into our community and to foster those types of connections for everyone as we go forward in future seasons.”

In her free time, Forys enjoys snowshoeing, cross country skiing and all things outdoors. Her positive and personable approach to leadership will bring new energy to the Snowsports School team.
