Snow & Weather Report

Update: Friday, January 2, 2026, 6:38 a.m.

Good morning from snowy Seven Springs, skiers and riders! We’re sliding into Friday with clear weather and proper winter conditions on tap following a standout week of storms. The slopes are open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today. Here’s what you need to know before you head out:

Cold temps have locked in quality surface conditions and smooth packed-powder corduroy awaits you to start the day, compliments of the overnight grooming team. Keep an eye on Lift & Terrain status for the latest info on open terrain throughout the day. Snowmaking may be underway on or near select areas of open terrain. Be prepared for reduced visibility, blowing snow, and variable conditions. Always exercise caution near active snowmaking operations.

• Philip’s Run, Fawn Lane, and Deer Pass are designated Slow Zones from top to bottom.
• Freestyle terrain is open in two parks with 8 features in Santa’s Beard and 11 features in Arctic Blast, with service from Santa's Beard Rope Tow. The Alley is closed for snowmaking.
• Uphill travel is closed today; check the Snow & Weather Report daily for access updates and be sure to review the Uphill Access Policy.

It’s currently 15° on the mountain with cloudy skies and light winds. Any lingering flurries will wrap up early this morning. Dry conditions with highs in the low 20s are expected through tonight. A brief disturbance may bring a few flurries Saturday afternoon into Saturday night. Sunday looks dry before a milder trend begins to develop beginning early next week. A warm front Monday could bring a slight chance of flurries or a light mix, followed by a better chance of precip Tuesday into Wednesday.

Snowmaking operations are currently online and running strong under excellent parameters. The team is taking full advantage of this week's window, working around the clock to reinforce base coverage and continue expanding acreage. Frigid overnight lows are expected to persist through this weekend and the team will keep laying it down for as long as conditions permit.

We'll see you on the snow!
